The DGS is the national section of the International Solar Energy Society ISES possessing over 3.000 scientists, engineers, craftsmen and trade professionals. It is Germany’s largest technical association for Solar energy. It was established in 1975 as an NGO. The DGS is promoting research and technical development of renewable energy.

European Forum for Economic Co-operation

The European Forum for Economic Co-operation [EFEC] was founded in 2003. EFEC is a registered European Economic Interest Grouping (EEIG). It comprises of qualified members and partners in EU countries and in Asia. EFEC supports on a not-for-profit basis sustainable development via the mobilization of economic co-operation within the European private sector and organizations in developing countries. EFEC develops and facilitates economic co-operation projects of other public and private sector organisations and companies.

Technology Research Institute

Technology Research Institute (TRI) is a government organization working under The Science, Technology and Environment Agency (STEA) inside the Prime Minister Office. TRI focuses on Research and Development of Renewable Energy Technology, Appropriate Technology, Mechanical Engineering and New Material Technology workable in local conditions and to suit the needs of national economic and social development.

Community Development and Environment Association

The Community Development and Environment Association (CDEA) is a NGO active since early 2004. The work of the CDEA draws together sustainable community development and sustainable environmental development, acknowledging the co-dependency of people with their environment. As well as leading on many innovative initiatives, the CDEA provides guidance and support to grass-roots community groups and not-for-profit community projects in Lao PDR.

National University of Laos

National University of Laos (NUOL) is the only national university in Laos. NUOL has 12 faculties and schools and nine separate centres. It gives education in natural, technical and social sciences. It has a teaching staff of more than 1,000 teachers and more than 32,000 students. NUOL mission is to provide higher education in order to meet the development objectives in a sustainable, efficient and equitable manner. The Faculty of Engineering of NUOL is the main actor in Lao PDR in human resources development in the Engineering-related fields.

Institute of Technology of Cambodia

Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC) is a public Institution (not for profit) located in Phnom Penh. ITC trains the students on the subject of Electrical and Energy Engineering to meet human resource requirement on this field in Cambodia. In addition, ITC provides vocational training for public and private sectors for specific courses.
